First winter outfit and first outfit of the year!

Sunglasses are Ray-Ban, shirt is vintage, cardigan and coat are Zara, jeans are old from Topshop modified by me, socks and headband are H&M, booties are Marais, and bag is Chanel.

There is a story about a haunted house near where we live. This weekend we went to visit it, and explore it. It is in ruins but it has an amazing view to the city and it is quite fun. It has all sorts of weird things like old rusty cars. The remaining walls were covered with graffitis and colorful images. To get there you need to walk through some woods, and it is all green and peaceful even though it can be a little spooky. I don’t think I would have gone there by night, but being a warm sunny day it was perfect for some adventure.

Se cuenta una historia sobre una casa “embrujada” cerca de donde vivimos. Este fin de semana fuimos a visitarla y a explorar. La casa esta en ruinas pero tiene unas vistas increíbles a la ciudad y es bastante sorprendente. Tiene todo tipo de cosas extrañas como coches oxidados. Las paredes que quedan están cubiertas de graffitis e imágenes coloridas. Para llegar a esta casa hay que cruzar un especie de bosque pacífico y verde aunque a ratos puede dar bastante miedo. La verdad no creo que me hubiese aventurado a ir de noche, pero estando el día cálido y soleado, era perfecto para una pequeña aventura.

I didn’t know how to call this post, so I thought i’ll just name it after the song I am listening right now, which happens to be one of my favorite songs ever. This world famous song originally by Screamin’ Jay Hawkins has a great number of versions, some quite recent and unknown and some quite old and famous. My favorite version of this song is by Nina Simone one of my favorite singer. I love old rock and roll and I love blues ballads, i’m not sure how you can classify this song but I think it has a bit of both, of course it depends on the version of this song. I assume all of you have heard it, but if someone hasn’t I recommend you check it out, it’s perfect for these gloomy days.

No sabía que nombre ponerle a esta entrada, así que he decidido llamarla como la canción que estoy escuchando ahora mismo, que es una de mis canciones favoritas de siempre. Esta mundialmente famosa canción originalmente de Screamin’ Jay Hawkins tiene un numero incontable de versiones, algunas bastante recientes y poco conocidas y otras mas antiguas y famosas. Mi versión favorita de esta canción es la de Nina Simone, una de mis cantantes favoritas. Me encanta el primer “rock and roll” y me encantan las baladas de blues, no estoy segura como se clasifica esta canción, pero yo creo que es un poco de las dos cosas, aunque claro depende de la versión. Asumo que todas la habéis escuchado alguna vez, pero si alguna no lo ha hecho recomiendo que la escuchéis es perfecta para estos días tan oscuros.

So here I am again in a midi skirt, i’m so in love with this type of skirts! I’m starting a midi collection so i’m hunting for new ones, but so far it seems hard to find them around. I guess here people are not so crazy about them so stores have decided not to stock them. In a way thats good cause less people will be wearing them and it is always nice to be the different one, but its bad because it will be more difficult to find them. Of course we are always left with online stores, but this type of skirt is definitely one of those garments you need to try on first before you buy. So I guess I will keep searching and hopefully i’ll end up finding more.

Aquí me tenéis otra vez en una falda midi, estoy tan enamorada de este tipo de faldas! Quiero comenzar a coleccionarlas así que estoy en la busca de ellas, pero hasta ahora lo llevo difícil. Por lo que parece (era bastante obvio) aquí la gente no ha simpatizado mucho con estas faldas, entonces las tiendas han decidido no incluirlas en su stock. De cierta forma eso es positivo ya que muy poca gente las lleva y siempre es agradable ir distinto a los demás, pero es negativo en el claro sentido de que será mas difícil encontrarlas. Está claro que siempre nos quedarán las tiendas online, pero este tipo de falda es de esas prendas que necesitas probarla antes de comprarlas, ya que la mayoría de las veces engaña. Así que seguiré buscando y con suerte encontraré unas cuantas más.

Everyday we see more flowers! So winter is saying goodbye and spring is almost here. Now this is my favorite moment of the year in every way. I love getting dressed in spring it allows to mix and play with colors, garments and layers and i’m usually in my most creative state. I’m so happy to say goodbye to heavy coats, tights, and scarfs and to welcome bare legs, cardigans and trenches!

Cada día se pueden ver mas flores! El invierno nos dice adiós y la primavera casi esta aquí. Es mi época favorita del año en todos los aspectos. Me encanta vestirme en primavera, porque nos permite mucho mas juego con los colores, las prendas y las capas de ropa, es cuando mas creativa suelo estar. Estoy tan feliz de guardar los abrigos, las medias y las bufandas y de volver a enseñar piernas, llevar cardigans, chaquetas y gabardinas!
